Linda Miller was the very first contributor to BOX of MONSTERS, and for that, she'll always occupy a special place in Web Master Jimmy's tomb.  But like many great artists, I'm told Linda tends to shy away from praise, favoring a quiet appreciation of her work and its subject matter over a doting spotlight.  Having said that, let me just add... Zow!  What a fantastic artist she is!  Be sure to check out more of Linda's mind-blowing work in the "Artist Spotlight" section of the Official Dwight Frye Website.

That was what the subject line of Linda's latest email to me read.  I instinctively thought for sure she was making some sort of pass at me... monster-fan style.  But upon opening the attached image - another example of her draw-dropping talent - I realized Linda had just made her seventh, I said seventh artistic contribution to BOX of MONSTERS!

...that if ol' Fritz and Henry find you just hanging out, they might ask that you lend them a hand for their big project!  In this illustration by Linda Miller, there is a fleeting moment perfectly captured in the faces of these two favorite screen-fiends that makes one wonder, "What's going on in their minds right this second?"  Only the dead know for sure, I guess, and they're not talking... not yet anyway!  Click on the thumbnail to the right to see the full image.

Even the most fiendish of fiends need to see some of the mushy stuff every now and again.  Why, I myself feel like I could use some right now!  That's why I'm gonna' click on that thumbnail (above) and check out Linda's latest contribution to BOX of MONSTERS.

Bob Esposito of Good Stuff Cards (see them featured elsewhere on this web site) sends us this awesome rendering of Ernest Thesiger as Dr. Pretorius by (who else?) Linda Miller!  Click that contemplative kisser on the left to see the full image.

Jan "Sister Grimm" Garfield, writer for the Official Dwight Frye Website, sends BOX of MONSTERS a photo of an incredible watercolor by her favorite artist, and writes:

"I know of at least two occasions where Dwight D. Frye and Sara Karloff were shown copies of Linda's paintings and never noticed they were not photographs.  What would astound you even more is the size of her paintings... barely 4x6" and filled with the kind of detail pen and ink artists can only dream of... yet executed in the unforgiving media of watercolor!"

Astounded I am!  Click the pic up there to see Linda Miller's "Fritz" (72 k).

That's all I could say to myself upon opening the package sent to me from award-winning artist Linda Miller.

I guess I really don't know what I was expecting when she said she'd contribute a Dwight Frye watercolor to BOX of MONSTERS, but I do know I wasn't expecting such a masterpiece!

Click the pic on the left to see the whole thing (all 207k of it), and hold onto your butt... it's stunning!
